Slack

E-mail is no fun, so we use Slack for most internal communication.

• We encourage you to disable as many notifications as possible
• Explore our existing channels and create new ones if you like!
• Always reply to messages within the thread to keep the #channel more readable
• Share you favourite tunes in the #music channel 🙂
• Be careful with broadcasting messages to the whole @channel. We are all trying to keep notifications to the minimum - The more notification you get, the less you pay attention.

What Slack is for E-mail, Tandem is for Slack. Honestly, we haven't seen a better tool for lowering the cognitive threshold to quickly call a team-mate. It's like going to somebody's desk to run a quick idea by them, ask for help or information, or initiate a "mob" PR review.
